Winnie Cao is a Rehabilitation Sciences student at Western University with a strong interest in health education, digital learning, and community outreach. Through the Venture for Canada Intrapreneurship Program—an initiative that connects students with innovative startups—she worked with EIM Technology to develop marketing strategies and promotional content for educational tech products that bridge STEM and health disciplines. Her work included conducting market research, identifying target audiences, and designing campaigns to boost product visibility and engagement.
With a background in digital content creation and outreach, Winnie is passionate about making complex scientific and technological concepts more accessible and relevant to the public. She is especially interested in knowledge translation and the role of educational technology in improving public understanding of health and science.

VFC Intrapreneurship Fellow – Marketing Associate
Period: May 2025 - June 2025 [Intern]
During this six-week partnership, Winnie collaborated closely with the EIM Technology team to promote educational learning kits, with a focus on biomedical and AI-related products. She conducted market research, identified target audiences, and developed tailored marketing strategies. Her work included writing blog content, designing promotional materials, and launching campaigns to boost visibility and engagement for the Biomedical Learning Kit and AI with Hardware Learning Kit.
Even in this short time, Winnie showed strong initiative and consistently delivered work beyond expectations. Her creativity, reliability, and ability to quickly understand complex topics made her a valuable contributor to the team.

Project: Biomedical Learning Kit

The first project Winnie took on was designing a flyer for the Biomedical Learning Kit. She began by researching the target persona, followed by market research to better understand audience needs. Based on her findings, she developed two versions of marketing content tailored to different audience groups. Her keen market insight and creativity were a great asset to the team.

After completing the Biomedical Learning Kit project, Winnie took on the challenge of promoting the AI Learning Kit. While her primary interest lies in the biomedical field, which she hopes to pursue in her future career, she also demonstrated strong adaptability and creativity in designing the AI poster. Her work on this project was thoughtful, well-executed, and showed her ability to communicate technical topics across disciplines.
